It was coincidence that got me to Donald’s, or Don as he likes to call himself, blog. I usually use google to check the spelling of words I don’t read or type often and nonagenarian is one of them, so I typed it and got his blog as one of the results.
Now while most of us post things about the present, the recent past or the future, Don posts memories about the beginning of the century, simply because he’s 93 years old! The nonagenarian even has his own wikipedia entry!
The oldest memories I could think is playing Atari, or buying my first Air Jordans, but it just amazes me how Don posts memories of using horses and wagons for transportation! This guy has really “been there, done that“.
In one of his posts he says:
“At this age, I must say that I do delight in people’s amazement when I tell them how old I am. But under all this is the knowledge that I am the oldest male on either side of my family, maternal or paternal, and I know I must go fairly soon. I just don’t like the idea”.

You know what amazes me? That at 93 he learned to use the internet he learned to blog, which is a challenge to lots of people, AMAZING. I trained people not even a quarter of his age and they drove me NUTS.
Thanks man for sharing, I read some of his posts and he’s pretty good

Yes 7aki fadi you’re right, it is challenging for someone that old to learn how to do stuff on the net, and you’re welcome … glad you liked it
Mohanned: no problem man, it’s enough you’re reading the crap I put here

I so agree with “7aki Fadi”.. jad fazee3 he could do all that at his age.. my grandma cant even turn a computer on even though she is 20-25 years younger than Don..Some middle aged parents can’t do that either..
well I checked his blog…..
sara7a it is great but I dont think he is doing it alone there should be someone helping him in the pictures he is choosing for each blog because the pictures he is using is very much related to each post so i dont think it is easy to find those pics and load them and upload them for a 93 year old as the posts material he can supply but for sure its not him who is writing the posts:)thx again for introducing this blog

I ll call it the blog of a wise man ashal men el kelmeh elee 7atetlee eyaha naqoryan….
7aki my thoughts exactly…it is amazing he is blogging at 93…wow..im impressed!
ya7laiiiiilaaaa
very interesting wallah
But I gotta admit, he’s going senile a little because in every post he recommends the same book and he keeps talking about how his grandfather was knifed at an Inn during the gold rush…LOL
Soooo cute!
Mohanned: thanks for jabrit el khatir
Mrs Al Ramahi: trudat, it’s not easy at 40, let alone 93!!
Tiger: you could be right, he could be dictating someone, but in the end, it’s his. Nonagenarian means 90+ … I never used the word, actually I only used it yesterday when I was telling a friend about Don, I’m not even sure I pronounced it right … I think what I said sounded more like “vegetarian” …
sam: yeah! I am too
eshda3wa: i know … isn’t he so cute!
7aki: maybe he likes the book, lol .. and will ya stop talking about people behind their backs?
hehe
