Back in university, a good friend of mine, Faris, dated, what we had all agreed on, the ugliest girl we’ve ever met. I know this sounds mean, but she was really all that.
Why did he date her then if she was all that, you’re wondering? WELL TAKE A WILD GUESS! … Because she was filthy rich … and obviously, he wasn’t.
But what was fitting more than anything else was her laugh. She made a snort-like sound whenever she laughed, which was sure to drive anyone mad, a laugh that added to the overall hideousness of the image. Trust me when I say that the ugliest visions you’re getting right now won’t come close to half the real thing!
For all the above reasons, and so he wouldn’t have to bear it all by himself, Faris used to bring his ugly girlfriend to where we all used to hang out every single day. That SOB!
We could all tolerate the looks … I mean you can simply not look and that’s it. But the laugh, how can you put up with that?! OH THE TORTURE!
So we all, cunningly, agreed on a way to put an end to the snort by introducing some new rules:
- Don’t try to be funny!
- Be boring!
- Be VERY boring!
- Whoever said something accidentally funny would later get a kick in the balls! Seriously, anyone who said anything slightly funny and triggered the snort would get beaten by everyone.
So we all became so boring to a point where we stopped liking to hang around each other anymore … but, fortunately, after a grueling suffering, IT WORKED! … She stopped hanging out with us because we were “too boring for her”! WE KILLED THE SNORT!! and we were so proud of ourselves!
Of course poor Faris had to put up with her all by himself and we all returned to the bunch of hilarious group we were, and we didn’t have to think twice before we said anything.

You know, in my life, i used to have a very ugly friend. Who was a super model mentally and in her heart. She wasn’t rich or anything. But she was rich where it counts…
We used to hang with each other and my friends were telling me how could I hang around her. And all of that. But I knew her from the inside and knew how amazing she was. So we remained as good friends. Of course, until she got married … and male friends had no place in her life any more
